Jerri Duddlesten Moore, a third-generation Houstonian, is pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a force in the fashion world. In 2010, she started her own label, Jerri Moore LLC, which can be described as feminine, fresh and elegant. Jerri has a natural design sense and creates gowns that flow and are beautifully constructed inside and out. Her fabric essentials are the finest silks, satins and chiffons.
It is no surprise that Jerri’s new venture would be the synthesis of her love of film and fashion through the lens of her 15 years as a model, actor and film producer. She gleans inspiration for her Jerri Moore line from some of her favorite black and while films of the 40s and 50s. There is a definite feel of “Old Hollywood” traced in some of her current line of gowns. Her next collection is slated to be a modern day take on the glamour, sophistication and allure of the early Hollywood era. It is no mistake that Jerri’s collection is targeting women who want a beautiful and everlasting design.
For years, Jerri designed her own gowns for Houston’s gala season. After several friends and family members sought Jerri out for style and fashion advice, she decided to move forward with fulfilling a lifelong dream of designing a line of elegant, but affordable gowns in her first collection for Jerri Moore LLC. Jerri also designs custom gowns and has recently been designing numerous mother-of-the-bride as well as mother-of-the-groom gowns.
Jerri is known for having a keen eye for fabric, design and construction that accentuates and flatters the feminine form. She attributes her natural ability for design to her parents’ impeccable flare for style. Her mother naturally embodied the elegance and polished style of Grace Kelly. Her father’s garments were flawlessly constructed of beautiful Italian fabrics, which garnered him immediate attention when he entered a room.
It's never too late to follow your dreams.
Jerri divides her time as a designer and philanthropist as an active participant with charities. She is involved in and on the board of many local and national non-profit organizations such as Houston’s Council on Alcohol and Drugs as well as Crossroads. On the national level, Jerri is a Silver Circle Member of the Dream Foundation – a charity that is very “near and dear” to her. A portion of the proceeds from all sales will go directly to this Foundation to grant the wishes of terminally ill adults.
Jerri’s most rewarding time, however, is spent with her husband Jim and her two boys, Parker and Chris. With the inception of Jerri Moore LLC, Jerri lives by her mantra of “It’s never too late to follow your dreams.”
