The Fabiola Arias Collection is a manifestation of the artistic background of its designer, Fabiola Arias. Arias' unique and signature use of texture and surface treatment is visible in her cocktail and evening wear pieces. Because of her training in painting and sculpture throughout most of her life, her use of fabric manipulation is reflective of brushstrokes and paint daubs. Although only 23, Arias launched her line in September of 2008, while a senior at Parsons the New School for Design. It was then that Ikram Goldman, owner of the Chicago upscale boutique, Ikram, and style consultant of First Lady Michelle Obama, purchased the Fabiola Arias collection.

Soon after Arias won an enormous and prestigious sponsorship from Japan Fashion Week's designer incubator, Shinmai Creator's Project, which provided all of her textiles for her Falll collection, and a high-scale fashion show production in Tokyo during Fashion Week in March 2010. The collection, with its whimsical and feminine dresses, was highly well received and publicized about in leading newspapers and editorials around Japan, thus resulting in luxury department store, Isetan purchasing the line, as well as boutique, E. Concept Love, in Kobe, Japan. Fabiola Arias eveningwear has also been displayed in Neiman Marcus' March 2010 catalog cover as well as in Neiman Marcus locations such as Dallas, and Bal Harbor. In July 2010 the line was seen on the runway at Shanghai's World Expo under the sponsorship of Shiseido. Fabiola Arias collection is worn by New York socialites like Tinsley Mortimer and vice-chair of FIT's Couture Council, Yaz Hernandez.
